Top of page Treffry Farm Cottages Churns Cottage *** (Sleeps 2 adults, 2 children) The milk churns were stored here. Churns retains many of the original features, exposed beams, open plan lounge/dining room & a large picture window. It also consists of entrance hall, WC, fitted kitchen with electric cooker & fridge/freezer, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom including separate shower. Upstairs a low ceiling bedroom with 2 single beds suitable for children. Top of pageLinhay Cottage **** (Sleeps 6) Linhay was an open fronted cart shed, which describes its historic function in the old working farm. This luxurious cottage comprises of an entrance hall, utility with washer/drier, locally crafted antique pine kitchen with dishwasher and electric cooker. There is a separate dining area leading to an open plan lounge with beamed ceiling and a magnificent inglenook fireplace & wood burner. French patio doors lead to a conservatory, patio and private BBQ area. The cottage has three pretty bedrooms with brass bedsteads. The first has a double bed and en-suite shower room the second has a double bed with vanity unit and the third has two single beds with vanity unit. There is an additional family bathroom. Top of pageHayloft Cottage *** (Sleeps 5) This cottage was used for storing hay for many years. The character features include exposed beams throughout and a granite stone fireplace. Hayloft consists of an entrance hall to a luxury fitted oak kitchen, a cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is an open plan lounge/dining room with wood burner. Upstairs there is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a single bedroom. There is a separate family bathroom. Top of pageMillers Cottage *** (Sleeps 5) Millers Cottage is where the grain was ground for animal feed. It consists of entrance hall to open plan fitted kitchen, electric cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Lounge/dining room with wood burner, granite stone fireplace and exposed beams throughout. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin bedded room with vanity units and a single bedroom. There is a separate family bathroom. Top of pageGranary Steps Cottage *** (Sleeps 4) This cottage used to be the grain store. It consists of the entrance hall to open plan fitted kitchen, with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Lounge/dining featuring exposed beams and a Welsh dresser. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a second bedroom fitted with bunk beds. There is a separate family bathroom. Top of pageCogwheels Cottage *** (Sleeps 6) (No pets allowed) Cogwheels is where the drive mechanism for the waterwheel in the adjoining field was housed. The wheel has been left as a feature and adds additional unique charm to the traditional character elements. Cogwheels consists of entrance hall to luxury open plan fitted kitchen, electric cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining area has matching pine furniture and Welsh dresser and the lounge features a granite “olde world” fireplace with wood burner. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. One room has a double bed and a single bed and en-suite bathroom with separate shower. The second room has twin beds, and there is a single bed in the third room. There is a separate shower room, with WC and basin. Top of pageRoosters Cottage *** (Sleeps 8) Rooster cottage housed the chickens in years gone by. Roosters consists of an entrance hall to an open plan fitted kitchen, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and separate dining area with Welsh dresser. There is a large lounge with picture windows and granite stone fireplace and wood burner. This cottage has exposed beams throughout. Upstairs are three bedrooms. One large bedroom has a two single beds and a set of bunk beds, an en-suite shower, WC and basin. There are two additional bedrooms and a separate family bathroom. Top of pageNamed as tribute to the endless number of swallows who return to the farm to nest year after year. It consists of three bedrooms downstairs. One double room with hand basin, one twin room with hand basin and one with a single bed and a set of bunk beds. There is a large family bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Alongside is a separate room with WC. Upstairs there is a large open plan living are with stunning views over the countryside. The Kitchen/diner is antique pine with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is an adjoining studio with a double sofa bed and furnishings, which allow it to be used as another bedroom if necessary. Top of pageFord Farm Cottages Stream cottage is idealic, tranquillity eludes from a ‘babbling brook’ that runs gently through the secluded garden and makes a perfect retreat. Stream is a detached single story cottage set apart from the others. Entered from the courtyard into a hallway and into an open plan lounge/dining room with original beam ceilings. Stream includes fitted kitchen, with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and washer/drier. One large bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with twin beds, a family bathroom and separate WC and basin. Top of pageBrambles Cottage *** (Sleeps 2) Brambles cottage is perfect for a romantic break. At the far end of the courtyard, this single-storey cottage has its own secluded patio with magnificent views sweeping down over rolling fields, bramble clad hedges laden with an abundance of Cornish wild flowers. Entered from the courtyard into a hall there is an open plan lounge/dining room with fitted kitchen, electric cooker, fridge/freezer and washer/drier. A large cosy double bedroom and bathroom. Top of pageCowslip Cottage *** (Sleeps 4) (No pets allowed) Cowslip is another delicate wildflower found in the lower meadows and marshes by the streams and lakes of Ford. A single-storey cottage with spacious living opens directly onto the patio and communal gardens. Entered from the courtyard into a hallway it opens into a large living room with lounge/dining area and an offset kitchen fitted with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and washer/drier. There are two bedrooms, one double bedroom with ensuite and a twin bedded room and large family bathroom. Top of pageFoxglove Cottage *** (Sleeps 6) Foxglove is another country favourite, the vibrant wildflower is found in hedges that frame this cottage and create a tapestry of vivid colour and scent. A two-storey cottage in the corner of the courtyard, with living area upstairs takes full advantage of the spectacular views. The access to Foxglove is via the original granite steps, now railed this unique feature sets the tone to come. As you enter into the spacious lounge/dining area you will notice the magnificent high-beamed room with exposed Cornish trusses, leading onto a raised patio and garden. There is a fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier. On this level there is also a cloakroom, showroom and separate WC with hand basin. An internal staircase leads down to the ground floor where there is a large family bathroom. Foxglove has 3 bedrooms, a double bedroom with double bed, a double bedroom with twin beds, and the third bedroom has twin beds suitable for children (beds = 2ft 6”) Top of pageByre cottage is located at the top end of the courtyard opposite Stream. Byre is the old name given to the cowsheds where the cattle were tied in stalls and milked by hand. Byre has its own special character with a double-pitched slate roof, open in parts exposing the natural beams. This single-storey cottage is entered from the courtyard and opens into the hall, which steps down into lounge/dining with a door leading out onto the patio. The offset fitted kitchen includes, electric cooker, fridge/freezer and washer/drier. There are two bedrooms with double and twin beds respectively, the latter has a hand basin. There is a separate large family bathroom. Top of pageHoneysuckle Cottage *** (Sleeps 6) Honeysuckle is the smell of the summer, creeping over hedgerows and adorning buildings with its elegant buttermilk colour and delicate scent, it’s the perfect country accessory. A two-storey cottage entered from the courtyard directly into the lounge/dining area and spacious living room divided sympathetically by the central staircase. The lounge opens out onto the patio and communal gardens and is adjoined by a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier. A shower room, WC with hand basin is also on the ground floor with an additional family bathroom upstairs. Honeysuckle has 3 bedrooms, a double bedroom, a twin bedded room with hand basin, and the third bedroom includes bunk beds. |
